How is nystatin different from the clotrimazole troche?
Nystatin oral suspension is swished around the mouth (and swallowed or spit) four times a day, while clotrimazole troches are dissolved slowly in the mouth five times a day. Both are topical antifungals with similar effectiveness — the choice often comes down to which fits your routine better.
